About the role

Senior Industry Analyst – AML/FCC, Japan, acting as UiPath’s subject matter expert and market representative for AML/FCC, KYC, CDD, sanctions, fraud prevention, and regulatory risk management in Japan. Based in Japan, reports to UK-based manager, collaborating with global Product, Engineering, Data Science, UX, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success teams.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as UiPath’s leading subject matter expert and spokesperson for AML, FCC, KYC, CDD, EDD, sanctions compliance, fraud prevention, and financial crime risk management in Japan.
  • Monitor, interpret, and communicate regulatory developments and supervisory expectations in Japan.
  • Analyze emerging financial crime threats, compliance trends, and their impact on Japanese financial institutions.
  • Translate regulatory changes and market developments into clear business and product implications.
  • Share Japanese market trends, customer challenges, and industry insights with global stakeholders.
  • Develop perspectives and thought leadership on topics such as digital assets, sanctions evasion, AI-enabled financial crime, mule accounts, beneficial ownership transparency, cross-border financial crime, digital banking and fintech risks.
  • Partner with Product Management, Engineering, Data Science, and UX to influence product vision and roadmap; translate customer challenges into actionable product requirements.
  • Provide subject matter expertise across KYC, CDD, EDD, transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, adverse media screening, customer risk rating, entity resolution, case management, regulatory reporting, fraud and financial crime detection.
  • Bring the voice of Japanese customers into global product discussions; identify gaps between product capabilities and Japanese market needs.
  • Advise banks, securities firms, insurers, fintechs, payment providers, and digital banks; lead executive advisory meetings and customer workshops.
  • Represent UiPath as an industry expert; speak at events; develop white papers, research, blogs; collaborate with Marketing for content; maintain relationships with industry analysts, regulators, and associations; communicate market insights to global teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Law, Risk Management, Compliance, or related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in AML, FCC, KYC, financial crime prevention, sanctions compliance, fraud risk, regulatory compliance, or related field.
  • Deep knowledge of Japan’s AML, KYC, financial crime, and regulatory environment.
