About the role

Patreon is seeking a Strategy Lead to drive major strategy workstreams, ground analysis in data and AI tools, align executives, and craft company-level strategic narratives to support growth and execution.

Responsibilities

  • Lead major strategy workstreams: fan community, international expansion, and new monetization methods, from diagnosing what's working and where we're exposed to defining the strategy, then supporting teams as they execute and tracking progress against it.
  • Ground every strategy in rigorous analysis: size opportunities with models, desk research, and data, using AI tools to move quickly and work autonomously, and pressure-test quantitative work from Finance, Data Science, and Research.
  • Drive alignment and delivery: bring executives and cross-functional leaders to clear decisions on high-stakes questions, and keep large teams moving from strategy to shipped outcomes.
  • Own company-level strategic narratives: translate company performance and strategy into clear, decision-ready narratives, and shape recurring forums like All Hands, Business Reviews, and Board meetings.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years in consulting and corporate strategy, helping companies make high-stakes decisions
  • Structured thinking and first-principles problem solving
  • Analytical rigor with ability to build and stress-test models (market and opportunity sizing)
  • Comfort with both quantitative and qualitative data; ability to use AI tools
  • Influence without authority across executives and cross-functional teams
  • Executive storytelling skills for audiences from partner teams to the board
  • Execution focus, connecting strategy to shipped outcomes
  • Ownership mindset in a small team with a large scope and accountability
  • Mission alignment with Patreon's mission to fund the creative class

  • Salary range $204K – $306K with equity
