About the role

Technical Account Manager focused on solving complex, high-impact customer problems using MongoDB, engaging with marquee customers, mentoring teammates, and shaping the developer data platform strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Build key relationships with technical leaders at large customers and collaborate on projects to scale MongoDB solutions
  • Resolve questions and demonstrate architectures, performance, recovery, security, and related topics
  • Identify opportunities for deep dives and educate customers or connect them with subject matter experts
  • Mentor and ramp new team members and contribute to knowledge of new product lines
  • Act as liaison with product teams to surface new requirements and opportunities
  • Balance enabling, coaching, and marshaling resources to deliver technical outcomes for customers
  • Work around customer schedules for 100% uptime environments while maintaining work-life balance
  • Support the new Technical Account Management function as an early hire to pioneer this service offering

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong communicator with ability to inform executive and technical stakeholders
  • Collaborator with ability to work independently and cross-functionally
  • Problem solver with calm, authoritative leadership in escalated situations
  • Technical expert with experience in production database systems and cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Experience building and tuning mission-critical databases and understanding enterprise development lifecycles
  • Experience with MongoDB or distributed version control systems (git) considered a bonus
  • Experience with large-scale, mass-scale architectures and microservices/serverless architectures considered a bonus
