About the role

Remote Solutions Engineer role focused on public safety sUAS for state and local government agencies, responsible for end-to-end demonstrations, discovery, and program design to enable Skydio deployments.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with public safety agencies to understand needs and develop tailored drone solutions as part of the account team.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and ensure integration with customer operations and data management systems (CAD, dispatch, video management, evidence management, streaming platforms).
  • Own site assessment quality within territory; verify dock locations and ensure high-quality installations.
  • Run proofs of concept with structured deployments tied to active opportunities and measurable operational value.
  • Support airspace requirements for programs, including BVLOS approvals, waivers, COAs, and remote/docked operations.
  • Gather and analyze customer feedback to inform product improvements and work with cross-functional teams on Customer Success Plans.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of drone technology, Public Safety sUAS operations, and regulatory compliance.
  • Familiarity with Drone as First Responder concepts of operation and dock-based remote operations (professional experience strongly preferred).
  • Working knowledge of public safety software including CAD and VMS, and API integrations.
  • Excellent problem-solving, written and verbal communication, and ability to briefing diverse audiences.
  • Comfort operating within a Sales organization and discerning when to commit technical time.
