About the role
Marketing Operations Manager to own the systems behind marketing programs and connect them to the BDR and sales teams, enabling a unified revenue engine. Responsibilities include building, QA, and landing programs; maintaining data hygiene and routing; and partnering with Sales/BDR on Salesforce work. This is a contractor role with potential to convert to full-time.
Responsibilities
- Own Market program operations end to end, including builds, templates, segmentation, scoring, and QA for campaigns, events, direct mail, and BDR-driven outreach; ensure programs launch cleanly and hand off to reps without friction.
- Operate and evolve inbound lead routing, assignment logic, and enrichment with the broader RevOps team; keep rules accurate as territories and segments change; ensure records arrive complete for reps to act on.
- Build and scale foundational ops architecture across lead lifecycle and account funnel models, lead status, deduplication and RingLead matching rules.
- Serve as the operational partner to Sales and BDR teams on Salesforce requests, record hygiene, and reporting; turn recurring asks into repeatable workflows.
- Identify and ship improvements across the marketing stack to increase pipeline, speed to lead, or efficiency for Sales and Marketing.
- Prioritize incoming requests from Marketing, Sales, and BDR leadership and communicate tradeoffs when capacity is constrained.
Qualifications
- 5+ years in Marketing Operations or Revenue Operations, including hands-on Salesforce work supporting Sales and BDR teams and systems ownership.
- Deep hands-on Marketo experience, including program architecture, smart lists, scoring, and the Salesforce sync.
- Track record of driving measurable outcomes through systems and data work (e.g., faster lead response, higher inbound conversion, better pipeline visibility).
- Builder's orientation toward scalable solutions; ability to turn recurring issues into durable processes or automation while managing day-to-day demands.
- Proactive work style with ability to define problems, propose approaches, flag risks, and ship results.
- Strong Salesforce administration skills (objects/relationships, field architecture, validation rules, flows, reporting).
- Practical Clay experience (waterfall enrichment and Salesforce writeback) and comfort with data outside the UI via SQL, scripting, or scalable spreadsheets.
- Data steward mindset; document systems, fix root causes, and treat data quality as a shared asset.
- Ability to build relationships across stakeholders with competing priorities and focus on high-impact work.
