About the role
Senior Machine Learning Engineer to contribute to cutting-edge Research & Development in speech technology, focusing on building and deploying diverse models for high-accuracy speech recognition and production-ready deployments.
Responsibilities
- Work on complex R&D projects, with a diverse group of engineers, to achieve ambitious goals.
- Stay current with the latest developments in Machine learning.
- Execute high-impact projects to ensure team success.
- Work collaboratively across departments and mentor team members (where appropriate).
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in collaboratively pursuing ambitious R&D agendas.
- Precise attention to detail, with awareness of the big picture and ML trajectory.
- Understanding of the modern Machine Learning stack, including contemporary transformer architectures (e.g., GQA, KV-caching) and best practices.
- Experience in distributed training techniques.
- Familiarity with optimisation strategies for model inference (e.g., dynamic batching, flash attention, speculative decoding).
- Preferred: Publications in top-tier conferences; contributions to popular open-source repositories; technical writing skills evidenced by publications or blogs.
