About the role

Role responsible for owning the website’s look, content accuracy, and search performance, collaborating with marketing and engineering to evolve the site and ensure on-brand, coherent delivery across pages and components.

Responsibilities

  • Own the day-to-day look, content accuracy and search performance of the Speechmatics website
  • Build and publish pages quickly in Contentful, using existing content models and tooling, and flag when things need changing
  • Write and edit web content that is accurate, clear and true to our tone of voice, and create or direct visuals that keep the site consistent
  • Monitor search health in Google Search Console, Google Analytics, or similar tools, and optimise metadata, headings, internal linking, content structure, and schema to boost visibility in both traditional and AI-driven search
  • Design concepts, mock-ups and specs for new React components for developers to build from
  • Partner with marketing and engineering to keep the site evolving without fragmenting
  • Bring informed opinions on structure, UX, SEO and content, and challenge briefs constructively

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience managing a website in Contentful, including building pages and managing content with existing content models
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with close attention to accuracy and tone
  • A good eye for visual design, with experience in Figma or similar design tools
  • Working knowledge of on-page SEO and Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Ahrefs or similar tools, plus awareness of how AI search (GEO/AEO) is changing discoverability
  • The ability to describe and design UI components clearly for developers; basic HTML/CSS and component-based design systems a plus
  • A track record of owning ongoing site maintenance as well as new projects
  • Comfortable prioritising a backlog across competing requests from marketing and engineering. Self-directed and organised
  • Experience in a technical, B2B or SaaS environment is a plus
