About the role

Research Scientist role focused on ground-breaking on-device and on-server AI research for Meta Wearables (e.g., Ray-Ban Meta AI Glasses), building state-of-the-art LLMs, optimizing natural voice interaction, and delivering knowledge-grounded, personalized AI through a voice user interface in collaboration with Meta SuperIntelligence Labs.

Responsibilities

  • Apply relevant AI and machine learning techniques to build speech/LLM technology that will improve Meta Wearables products and experiences
  • Develop novel, accurate AI algorithms and advanced systems for large scale applications
  • Directly contribute to experiments, including designing experimental details, developing reusable code, running evaluations, and organizing results
  • Work with large data and contribute to development of large scale foundation models
  • Design methods, tools, and infrastructure to push forward the state of the art in large language models

Qualifications

  • Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta
  • Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a PhD in the field of Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience working with machine learning libraries like Pytorch etc
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python and shell scripts
