About the role

Role part of MTIA Software team within PyTorch AI framework organization, focusing on AI compiler strategy, high-performance kernels, and tooling to accelerate ML workloads on MTIA hardware across training and inference.

Responsibilities

  • Development of the SW stack with core focus areas: AI compiler stack, frameworks, high-performance kernel development and acceleration onto next-gen hardware architectures
  • Contribute to PyTorch AI framework core compilers to support new AI hardware accelerators and optimize performance
  • Analyze deep learning networks, develop & implement compiler optimization algorithms
  • Collaborate with AI research scientists to accelerate next-generation models (e.g., Recommendation systems, Generative AI, Computer Vision, NLP)
  • Performance tuning and optimizations of deep learning framework & software components

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience (degree completed prior to joining Meta)
  • Proven C/C++ programming skills
  • Experience in AI framework development or accelerating deep learning models on hardware architectures

Nice to have:PyTorch / ONNX / TensorFlow / TensorRT (preferred)

Benefits

  • Base salary + bonus + equity + benefits (US$121,992/year to US$181,000/year base range shown)
