About the role

Bridge between spacecraft in orbit and Satellite Operations, coordinating commissioning, transition to nominal operations, and scaling of a growing constellation. Aligns engineering execution with operational strategy across subsystems to meet contractual obligations while preparing for rapid fleet growth. Remote work from an approved location.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross functional teams supporting commissioning activities and anomaly reviews and provide regular progress updates to management
  • Monitor operational performance against contractual requirements and coordinate cross team support to address any performance shortfalls
  • Ensure Satellite Operation’s systems and processes are scalable and support anticipated fleet expansion and contractual requirements
  • Provide periodic updates to management on commissioning progress and operational performance against contractual commitments
  • Support customer meetings to provide updates on anomaly investigations and track issues to closure

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in satellite operations or a related high-reliability system environment (e.g., aerospace, defense)
  • Working knowledge of satellite subsystem and supporting ground system functionality
  • Experience solving complex problems that span multiple systems
  • Experience with creating operational processes to address both technical and customer needs
  • An engineering background in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Science
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity and create structure/process where none exists
