About the role

Xona is seeking a skilled Software Engineer to work on a desktop application for interacting with in-house satellite receivers and to develop software for satellite subsystem components. The role suits a self-driven team player who can work autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced startup environment to deliver mission-critical insights.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and integrate a desktop application to interact with in-house satellite receivers
  • Write application code for satellite subsystem components
  • Collaborate in fast-paced startup environment to deliver mission-critical insights
  • Contribute to software architecture and modularization for software-hardware interfaces

Qualifications

  • Experience with C and Python programming languages and build systems
  • Experience with hardware communication protocols such as RS-485, UART, I2C, CAN, SPI, and ethernet TCP/IP
  • Experience with dev kits and firmware flashing
  • Software architecture for software-hardware interfaces (wire formats), build system design, component and subsystem communication design, and software modularization
  • Embedded development for microcontroller programming
  • Bash scripting
  • Experience with RTOS
  • Background in control systems and/or motor control
  • Experience as a team lead/manager
