About the role

Internal Communications Manager for Anthropic's GTM organization, partnering with senior GTM leadership to craft and orchestrate internal communications, align messaging with company strategy, and manage all-hands and key announcements.

Responsibilities

  • Own the internal communications strategy for your portfolio within GTM, becoming an expert in the team's work and a trusted member of its leadership support team
  • Serve as an advisor to our Chief Commercial Officer and their team - helping them think through what to say and when, draft communications in their voice, and give them expert counsel
  • People manage a small team (one/two directs), supporting the global GTM org
  • Translate complex sales strategy and customer stories into narratives that land with employees across every function
  • Anticipate communications needs before they arrive (e.g. launches, customer wins, organizational change, moments of external attention) and have a plan ready for how we’ll bring employees along
  • Design and implement strategies to boost signal and reduce noise, so employees know what's important and what it means for them
  • Plan and execute internal fora like all-hands and AMAs with operational excellence
  • Partner closely with the broader internal communications team to ensure updates are accurately and consistently cascaded across existing channels and live forums

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of experience in communications or an adjacent craft where you learned to make complex, high-stakes material clear under pressure (e.g journalism, speechwriting, chief of staff work, strategy and operations)
  • Exceptional writing ability with talent for distilling complex concepts into plain English, strong storytelling
  • Experience as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and ability to build relationships; deliver difficult recommendations when needed
  • Ability to see the big picture and connect team updates to company strategy and mission
  • Keen eye for organizational culture and ability to recognize authentic moments worth amplifying
