About the role

Anduril Industries is hiring a Mission Software Engineer focused on deployment and infrastructure for autonomous mission systems. The role owns the full delivery chain from build to test to field deployment, including CI/CD pipelines, SITL/HIL environments, and on-vehicle Kubernetes infrastructure, with emphasis on operating in constrained or non-standard networks and high-assurance environments.

Responsibilities

  • Own the full delivery chain from build to test to field deployment for mission systems
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and build infrastructure
  • Manage software-in-the-loop (SITL) environments used for testing before hardware deployment
  • Operate on-vehicle Kubernetes infrastructure for mission systems
  • Solve software delivery in environments that are disconnected or classified, ensuring secure delivery to DoD systems
  • Diagnose failures across multi-stage delivery pipelines (build, test, deployment)
  • Collaborate across teams to ensure secure and reliable software delivery to fielded systems

Qualifications

  • BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and build infrastructure in a production environment
  • Production-grade software development experience (C++, Rust, Python, Go, or equivalent) in a Linux environment
  • Deep experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration, including deploying and managing services in constrained or non-standard network environments
  • Comfort navigating complex, multi-stage delivery pipelines and diagnosing failures across build, test, and deployment stages
  • Experience with Git & GitHub, including branching/release strategies for shipping software to production
  • Travel up to 30% to build, test, and deploy capabilities in the real world
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
  • Track record of high ownership and bias for action
