About the role

Responsibilities

  • Designing and building secure software systems
  • Architecting mission software with security built in
  • Hardening software and systems to resist compromise
  • Building monitoring and detection capabilities for security events in the field
  • Ensuring that only trusted, verified software is deployed onto vehicles
  • Work across software engineering and security to isolate components by trust level or security domain
  • Travel up to 30% to build, test, and deploy capabilities in real-world environments

Qualifications

  • BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related field
  • 2-3+ years of production-grade C++, Rust or equivalent experience in a Linux development environment
  • Experience designing and building secure software systems
  • Ability to quickly understand and navigate complex systems and established code bases
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
  • Track record of high ownership and bias for action
