About the role

Senior Offensive Security Engineer responsible for leading and expanding Anduril's offensive security practice across hardware, firmware, software, cloud, networks, and physical security, with a focus on real-world impact against sophisticated adversaries.

Responsibilities

  • Assess the security posture of Anduril-built technologies and personnel, as well as the third-party solutions we use.
  • Provide expertise to other Anduril teams on real-world attack vectors and enable engineering to implement proper resolutions.
  • Plan for, build, and maintain capabilities needed to execute truly unique red team projects.
  • Discover novel vulnerabilities, perform long-form security research, and create offensive security prototypes, tooling, and infrastructure.
  • Stay up to date with the most cutting edge of offensive security across all technologies, ranging from LLMs to RF.

Qualifications

  • 5 plus years of experience hacking, penetration testing, red teaming, or executing offensive security engagements across 2 or more of: Hardware (Embedded Systems, IoT, OT/ICS, Transportation Systems); Reverse Engineering & Firmware analysis; Software (Thick/Thin Client, Desktop Applications, Containerized Applications); OT/ICS.
  • 2 plus years of experience hacking, penetration testing, red teaming, or executing offensive security engagements across 4 or more of: Cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure); Network (Internal, External); Application (Web, Mobile); Wireless & RF; Host based; Source code review; Physical (Social Engineering, Phishing/Vishing/*ishing, Lock picking); AI Integrated.
  • Experience executing offensive security engagements from scoping to delivery.
  • Experience with rapid prototyping, leveraging LLMs/agents, and discovering novel vulnerabilities.
  • Public examples of security research, technical walkthroughs, projects, or tools.
  • Strong, professional communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
