About the role

Technical Program Manager responsible for overseeing the Battlespace Awareness software development, execution, and delivery, with emphasis on optimization, estimation, and integration with C2 systems.

Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership and Strategy: Develop and maintain a detailed project and execution plan - including feature development, testing and validation, deployment, and monitoring. Establish clear objectives and deliverables for the software that align with program needs.
  • Technical Expertise: Maintain a deep understanding of underlying algorithms and software interfaces for battle management, threat prediction, tracking, and classification to ensure integration with the larger C2 system. Stay updated on techniques to incorporate innovations into the project plan.
  • Documentation and Process Improvement: Ensure comprehensive documentation including technical specifications, user manuals, and project reports. Continuously evaluate and improve project management processes.
  • Release Management: Oversee planning and execution of the software release process, ensuring smooth deployment and that releases meet defined quality standards.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as primary point of contact for project-related communications; regularly update stakeholders on status, risks, and milestones.
  • Resource Allocation: Assess and allocate resources (personnel, software, hardware) and monitor utilization to avoid bottlenecks.
  • Risk Management: Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies; regularly review and update the risk management plan.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with other divisions to ensure software supports program priorities and meets integration requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Extensive project management experience, preferably in software development.
  • Demonstrable understanding of optimization, applied probability, and AI/ML technology.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Experience with tools like JIRA, Confluence, and GitHub
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage high-pressure situations and tight deadlines.
  • Must be able to obtain and hold a U.S. security clearance.
