Senior Software Engineer (Hybrid/San Francisco area)
About the role
Senior Software Engineer role at Pine Park Health, a YC-backed startup delivering primary care to seniors in living communities. Role is 60% product and 40% engineering, requiring deep full-stack expertise and a track record of owning problems end-to-end, with emphasis on healthcare domain knowledge and AI-enabled workflows.
Responsibilities
- Own key business problems from problem framing to solution delivery
- Shadow and interview doctors, nurses, medical assistants, and patients to understand workflows and bottlenecks
- Design solutions involving operations, workflows, design, and engineering
- Collaborate across product, research, design, and engineering to fill gaps in experience
- Leverage AI tools and manage AI agents to augment work
- Review code to ensure quality and alignment with architecture and scale goals
- Solve real-world problems such as scheduling with drive time and acuity, read/respond to faxes, build triage agents for phone calls, automate HCC risk adjustment, and migrate billing pipelines without dropping claims
Qualifications
- 8+ years of software engineering experience
- Deep full-stack fluency with React, Remix, Node.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, Prisma
- Experience building personal AI development workflows
- Ability to own problems end-to-end without dedicated PMs on projects
- Healthcare technology, EHR integrations, or HIPAA experience is a plus (desired)
- Experience as founding engineer, tech lead, or staff engineer is a strong fit (desired)
