About the role

Senior Software Engineer focused on React Native for Kraken’s consumer mobile app, building and shipping features end-to-end for Asian markets, collaborating with Product and Design, and guiding regional UX and technical constraints.

Responsibilities

  • Build and own high-quality React Native features end to end, from problem discovery through implementation, launch, measurement, and iteration
  • Partner with Product and Design to shape thoughtful, responsive, and trustworthy financial experiences, including product discovery, trading, and simplified client journeys
  • Work with APIs and dynamic or real-time data, making decisions on state management, rendering, performance, architecture, and reliability
  • Raise the product-engineering bar through technical discussions, code reviews, collaboration, and strong product ownership
  • Help build Kraken’s new app for Asian markets; serve as the team’s subject-matter guide on regional UX/design expectations, firewall/connectivity considerations, and suitable vendors/tools such as telemetry solutions

Qualifications

  • Strong React Native experience, including shipping production applications and making architectural/implementation decisions in a modern mobile codebase
  • Product-building mindset with strong product judgment; ability to translate loosely defined problems into measurable outcomes
  • End-to-end feature ownership with use of metrics, experimentation, and feedback to improve what you ship
  • Experience building responsive, data-rich applications using APIs and real-time data; able to collaborate with Product and Design in English
  • Versatility and thoughtful AI use; ability to wear multiple hats while maintaining engineering judgment and quality
  • Proven experience building and shipping consumer mobile apps for Asian markets; understanding region-specific UX/design conventions and launch challenges including firewall/connectivity constraints; ability to explain past solutions
