About the role

Remote Front End Engineer focused on migrating and wiring the Webflow-based frontend to a TypeScript codebase, integrating with REST/GraphQL APIs, and building a scalable build pipeline while collaborating with marketing and product stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Wire Webflow forms and pages to existing REST and GraphQL endpoints (callers, loved ones, membership, Stripe payment, service-area checks, grocery/home-services leads, error logging).
  • Own multi-step registration: validation, session persistence, step navigation, auth tokens, 401 handling, partner vs consumer flows.
  • Keep Stripe Elements, phone inputs, cookies, and tracking across landing-page variants.
  • Coordinate with the Webflow designer on DOM IDs, required attributes, and page structure to avoid production bugs.
  • Take responsibility for Playwright test coverage and add more tests as needed.
  • Read backend code to extract HTTP method, path, auth, request/response shapes and choose appropriate endpoints (REST vs GraphQL, create vs patch).
  • Collaborate with backend team when API limitations require clarifications or requests (no ownership of large backend changes).
  • Over time, migrate codebase from JS IIFE modules to TypeScript and replace concatenated JS with a real bundler (esbuild/Vite/Rollup).
  • Untangle globals, jQuery, and order dependencies without breaking production sites.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years experience in Frontend development with JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Strong in-browser JavaScript/TypeScript (DOM, fetch/XHR, cookies, localStorage, CORS).
  • Ability to read and reason about backend TypeScript/Express-style routes and GraphQL schemas from codebase (not a black box).
  • Experience mapping forms to endpoints with nested payloads and auth headers; 4xx handling.
