About the role

Senior Financial Systems Analyst to drive automation and modernization of financial planning, analysis, and data processes. Partners with FP&A to redesign planning/forecasting, builds Pigment/Python/AI-driven solutions, ensures data quality, and documents models for self-service. Hybrid role based in Bangalore, India.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with FP&A across Sales & Marketing, R&D, and G&A to identify manual, repetitive Finance work and automate via Pigment integrations, Python scripts, and AI agents.
  • Own end-to-end build of new and migrated Pigment models — data blocks, formulas, workflows, dashboards, and views.
  • Collaborate on design and maintenance of Pigment architecture to keep metrics organized and easy to navigate.
  • Work with Finance Systems team to build durable integrations between Pigment, BigQuery, and other finance systems for accurate, automatic data flow.
  • Implement systematic data-quality checks — reconciliations, change monitoring, variance alerts.
  • Document models clearly so Finance analysts without Pigment/Python background can self-serve basic changes.
  • Loop in Data/Analytics Engineering for new data connections or upstream data issues.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in financial systems, FP&A, or analytics engineering, with hands-on work in an EPM platform (Pigment, Anaplan, Adaptive, or similar) or equivalent analytics-engineering background (SQL, dbt, Python).
  • Proven experience using AI agents/LLM tooling to automate finance workflows.
  • Ability to translate messy stakeholder descriptions into a well-scoped technical plan.
  • Working proficiency in Python or willingness to learn via Claude Code or Codex.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with a cloud data warehouse (BigQuery or similar).
  • High attention to detail and ability to audit models and explain outputs to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills for explaining data discrepancies and modeling trade-offs.
