About the role

Communications Lead responsible for coordinating outreach and communications with communities around SpaceX facilities, developing public-facing communication strategies, and supporting executives with training and assets. Based at the Grimes County site in Texas with potential travel.

Responsibilities

  • Provide tactical public relations support, including logistical planning and execution, and maintain successful relationships with a portfolio of key community partners and stakeholders.
  • Develop communication strategies that will generate public excitement about SpaceX and its affiliates’ mission and its positive impact on surrounding communities.
  • Support SpaceX executives and other company leaders during speaking engagements and other events through communications training and preparation of presentations and assets as needed.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to support key initiatives.
  • Develop and implement effective communication programs in response to strategic priorities and crisis situations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 5+ years of experience in communications, events, or content development.
