About the role

Role focused on capital equipment procurement and construction services for large-scale Ultrapure Water (UPW) and wastewater treatment plants supporting Starlink manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with internal stakeholders to develop and implement a comprehensive contract management process for CAPEX and construction of wastewater and UPW systems
  • Develop and execute equipment & services procurement strategies focused on wastewater treatment plants, ultrapure water systems, and construction projects
  • Perform market analysis to determine should-costs and achieve favorable purchasing terms for specialized equipment and construction services
  • Own end-to-end sourcing strategy and performance for major utility water systems including industrial water systems and wastewater management
  • Define and implement long-term sourcing strategies to ensure reliable water supply and cost-effective availability
  • Create and negotiate contract documents with legal for capital equipment, EPC contractors, and construction services
  • Track and report spend, assess budgetary risk, and provide budget analyses for multi-million dollar wastewater CAPEX projects
  • Manage vendor and contractor relationships, ensuring communication, contracts adherence, and issue resolution
  • Present value propositions related to contracts, cost reviews, and supply issues to management
  • Identify and execute cost reduction projects and provide project updates
  • Perform advanced quantitative and business process analyses for financial impact and cost improvements
  • Create and implement supplier management programs with KPIs for wastewater and construction supply base
  • Lead and execute RFPs for capital equipment, construction packages, and wastewater systems
  • Place purchase orders and resolve blocked invoices
  • Develop and lead efforts to reduce transaction counts while maintaining control and compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience in Purchasing/Procurement, Engineering, Contract negotiation, Operations or supply chain management, Construction/facilities/industrial plant management, or Wastewater/water treatment; OR 9+ years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
