About the role

Facilities Engineer at SpaceX Starlink Production facility responsible for optimizing site-wide soft-services, maintenance strategies, and standardizing processes across a rapidly expanding industrial campus to support operations and reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Optimize site-wide soft-services operations, including fleet, workplace services, and space planning, to improve service levels and cost
  • Analyze site-services contracts (custodial, landscaping, transportation, waste, and similar) for cost, performance, and scope; build a roadmap to improve vendor performance
  • Own the site plan for infrastructure consumables and critical spares to protect equipment availability and accelerate urgent projects
  • Own site-level utility forecasting and help structure contract terms that keep up with rapid facility expansion
  • Standardize and integrate the site-wide Building Management System (BMS) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) platforms; use the data to implement predictive and preventative maintenance strategies on critical infrastructure
  • Lead departmental continuous-improvement work, including new process rollouts and standardization
  • Work across all levels of the business to map current workflows, find gaps, and put durable solutions in place
  • Define department-level metrics and dashboards that quantify Facilities operations health, reliability, and efficiency
  • Align with maintenance and construction teams at other SpaceX sites to set uniform, high standards

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline
  • 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, operations, or construction (internship experience qualifies)
