About the role

Inventory Manager responsible for end-to-end CM and 3PL inventory operations, E&O mitigation, audits, dashboards, and financial stewardship to optimize capital efficiency for Etched's frontier AI hardware.

Responsibilities

  • Inventory Analysis and E&O Mitigation: review slow-moving/aged inventory, identify E&O risks, disposition decisions with CMs and internal stakeholders; analyze CM demand waterfall, root cause analysis of E&O drivers (forecast changes, MOQ/lead time, EOL, engineering changes); mitigate E&O exposure via supply reallocation across CMs, reuse on new programs, rework, vendor returns/cancellations, open-market resale, or scrap as last resort.
  • Inventory Audit and Control: coordinate consigned inventory with CMs and 3PL, maintain auditable transaction records for traceability; conduct on-site audits/physical counts; lead three-way reconciliations among NetSuite, 3PL, and CM reports, resolve discrepancies.
  • Reporting and Financial Partnership: build/maintain inventory dashboards and KPIs (inventory turns, aging, E&O value, inventory accuracy); deliver health reports with actionable recommendations; partner with Finance on inventory valuation, E&O reserves, write-offs, and audits.
  • CM Build Validation and Cost Accounting Support: review/validate CM as-built reports against BOMs and work orders; reconcile CM build/consumption data to NetSuite; validate CM invoices/charges against pricing and builds; liaise between Cost Accounting and CMs on BOM and cost discrepancies, scrap/yield.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain, inventory management, or material program management within electronics manufacturing or big tech.
  • Proven track record of managing contract manufacturers (CMs) and 3PL warehouses, including audits, 3-way reconciliations, and consigned inventory controls.
  • Strong analytical capability for E&O root-cause analysis, disposition strategies, and inventory health dashboards/KPIs.
