About the role

Senior backend/fullstack engineer role focused on analytics infrastructure and data products (Superset, AI for Data, Notebooks) within Airbnb’s Data Platform. You will build features, integrate data tools, and maintain high quality, reliability, and user-centric experiences for data practitioners.

Responsibilities

  • Build new features to support user workflows within data products (Superset, AI agent for Data, Notebooks)
  • Collaborate with teams within Airbnb’s data platform on integrations of data products within the data platform’s infrastructure
  • Engage with users to drive projects end-to-end, gather feedback, and manage feature rollouts and migrations
  • Contribute to maintaining a high technical quality bar through architecture improvements, testability, observability, and code reviews
  • Support users and team operations via lightweight on-call support

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of full-time, relevant industry experience, with expertise in building backend or fullstack applications
  • Hands-on experience with data (SQL, Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering) or internal data applications development
  • Passion for building interactive and delightful user experiences and engaging with users
  • Ability to drive cross-functional projects including alignment, collaboration and roll out with partner teams and users
  • Appetite for high quality code and robust systems, including observability and reliability
  • Experience with building AI agents, context engineering, AI harness is a plus
  • Frontend development expertise (HTML, CSS, Typescript, Javascript, React) a plus
  • Experience in big data technologies (Airflow, Spark, Trino) a plus
