Developer Relations Engineer
About the role
Developer Relations Engineer role at Limrun, a YC-backed startup building cloud-enabled mobile development environments. Location in San Francisco with significant in-office presence. Responsibilities center on developer advocacy, sample apps, tutorials, content, and community engagement to help developers adopt Limrun for mobile development workflows.
Responsibilities
- Build, publish, and maintain sample apps and reference workflows that show developers how to use Limrun with coding agents and mobile development tools. Own each example through developer use, helping people try it and fixing friction.
- Write quickstarts, tutorials, and technical guides. Test the instructions yourself and keep them current as the product changes.
- Create short demo videos, technical posts, and live sessions that explain a specific workflow or solve a real developer problem.
- Maintain an active social media presence and publish consistently, sharing hands-on demos, technical tips, and useful examples of what developers can build with Limrun. Engage with developers in the comments and follow up on their questions.
- Run developer onboarding calls or office hours to help people get their first workflow running. Turn repeated questions into better documentation, examples, or concrete product improvements.
- Be an active, regular participant in developer communities. Join discussions, answer technical questions, share useful work, and build relationships with people developing mobile apps and coding-agent tools.
- Reproduce issues and give engineering clear feedback, including steps taken, expected behavior, and where the developer got stuck.
- Test different tutorials, demos, and community activities. Track whether they help developers try Limrun, complete a working example, and continue using it. Use what you learn to decide what to do next.
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of relevant professional experience.
- Ability to write and debug software independently, work with APIs and command-line tools, and build runnable examples for other developers.
- Hands-on experience with at least one mobile development stack (Swift, Kotlin, React Native, or Flutter).
- Clear written and spoken English communication; comfortable recording demos or walkthroughs.
- A track record of creating something useful for developers (documentation, open-source project, tutorial, talk, or tool).
- Experience using coding agents in your own work and ability to check outputs, investigate failures, and explain limitations honestly.
- Ability to choose useful problems, complete the work, and follow up on usage impact.
- Previous DevRel experience is welcome but not required; engineering experience with a track record of helping other developers is relevant.

About Limrun
Extend cloud sandboxes with iOS, Android and more
Coding agents in the cloud don't work for majority of teams who require native capabilities; they lack XCode for iOS, Emulator for Android, Unity for game development teams. We are on a mission to cloudify every local development utility so that regardless of where it runs, your agent can compose an ideal set of capabilities on the fly so you don't need to run it on your laptop. Today, we provide remote services such as XCode, iOS & Android simulators to enable coding agents running in any sandbox to be able to build and iterate over mobile apps, too. Replit, Rork, Momentic, Minitap and more agent companies have built mobile development and testing experiences on Limrun platform. Coconote (Quizlet), SorceJobs (W25) and more companies with mobile apps use Limrun with their cloud agents, merging PRs without having to check out the code locally.
