About the role

Role to own ChromeOS as a supported platform within Anthropic, from procurement and enrollment to lockdown, monitoring, and retirement, and to enable Android as a second platform. Work within a lean, autonomous team to define ChromeOS standards and platform decisions across a largely macOS fleet and growing mobile footprint.

Responsibilities

  • Own ChromeOS as a platform at Anthropic: device standards, Google Admin console and Chrome Enterprise setup, organizational unit design, and policy
  • Manage ChromeOS policy as code through the Chrome Policy API, GAM, and Terraform, in the team's config-as-code pipeline, with review, testing, and progressive rollout
  • Build zero touch enrollment through resellers, so a Chromebook arrives enrolled and works the first time in every country our vendor partners work from
  • Work with IT Operations and procurement partners on buying and shipping devices internationally, including regions our current partners don’t reach
  • Design device models for vendor teams (kiosk, managed guest sessions, shared devices, assigned devices) and select the right model per program
  • Lock devices down to work needs (copy/paste, downloads, printing, USB, app and extension controls)
  • Own the device lifecycle for vendor fleets (enrollment to wipe, lock, retrieval when engagement ends)
  • Feed ChromeOS device data into fleet telemetry (check-ins, OS version, drift)
  • Partner with Corporate Security on hardware standards, device trust signals, and access decisions
  • Work with Security on contractor access model and keeping Anthropic data off vendor devices
  • Run data loss controls through Chrome Enterprise Premium
  • Work with Security on vendor identity model (vendor accounts and tenant)
  • Support Android as a second platform with Android Enterprise and zero-touch enrollment
  • Write runbooks for IT Operations and vendor partners to stand up a new program

Qualifications

  • Have owned ChromeOS as a platform for a fleet of thousands of devices
  • Know the Google Admin console and Chrome Enterprise well (OU design, policy, enrollment, reporting)
  • Automated ChromeOS policy through the Chrome Policy API or GAM
  • Run kiosk, managed guest, or shared device programs for frontline, contact center, or outsourced teams
  • Set up zero touch enrollment with resellers and shipped devices across several countries
  • Worked with Android device management in a mixed fleet
  • Able to navigate ambiguous problems that involve multiple teams
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly to audiences including vendor partners
  • View IT Engineering with product engineering rigor
  • Write clear documentation as part of workflow
