About the role

Senior technical writer focused on user-facing documentation across Anduril’s products, working with engineers, operations, and subject matter experts to produce accurate, clear manuals, guides, and release notes while aligning with MIL-STD-40051D and S1000D standards where applicable.

Responsibilities

  • Generate, review, and edit documentation that is user-focused. Work with engineering and operations to deliver task, conditions, standard-centric documentation.
  • Evaluate and prioritize tasks required to successfully support product documentation efforts and keep them on track. Use a data-driven approach and incorporate stakeholder input to inform decisions.
  • Communicate and help manage expectations. Ensure risks are noted with adequate time, and shared with leadership.
  • Help build a culture of technical documentation by contributing to the living documentation process, ensuring future teams learn from Anduril experience.
  • Identify relevant stakeholders and lead them through a documentation roadmap with milestones and targets.
  • Engage subject matter experts at the right time and guide them toward finished user-facing documents that meet customer needs.
  • Work with account teams to ensure contract deliverables are accurate, on-time, and in the right format.
  • Produce artifacts such as technical manuals, operational manuals, maintenance manuals, procedures, checklists, templates, user guides, troubleshooting guides, and release notes.
  • Collaborate with account, product, and engineering teams across all phases of product development to ensure accessible documentation.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of demonstrated excellence generating technical documentation.
  • Experience writing technical user-facing documentation.
  • Experience reading and interpreting engineering documentation.
  • Experience building content in a variety of formats (Word, XML, etc).
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
  • Ability to relocate, if not already local, to be onsite in Ashville, OH.
  • In this role, you will be subject to pre-employment and randomized substance screening, as required by the Company.
