About the role

Senior hardware design leader focused on front-end schematic architecture for next-generation products, with autonomy to own early-stage electronic design and drive from concept to manufacturing readiness.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the schematic design and capture for new and existing hardware platforms, primarily using Cadence OrCAD.
  • Own the front-end hardware architecture, including component research, selection, and block-level system design.
  • Design, simulate (SPICE), and validate robust analogue and power supply circuits (SMPS, DC-DC, LDOs) to ensure system reliability.
  • Collaborate closely with and review the work of PCB layout engineers to ensure your design intent is correctly implemented, guaranteeing signal and power integrity.
  • Define and execute Design Verification Testing (DVT) plans to ensure products meet stringent performance and compliance standards.
  • Perform hands-on debugging, testing, and root-cause analysis of hardware prototypes in the lab.
  • Compile and manage accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and support the transition from design to manufacturing.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in electronic product design, with a demonstrated focus on system-level architecture.
  • Deep, proven expertise in schematic design and capture for complex digital and analogue systems.
  • Proven experience with analogue, power supply (SMPS, LDO), and circuit protection design.
  • Proficiency with a high-end ECAD toolchain (Cadence Allegro/OrCAD preferred) and circuit simulation tools (e.g., PSpice, LTspice).
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
  • Exceptional communication skills and a collaborative mindset, with a proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
