About the role
Founding engineer role at Aglide, a YC-backed startup building browser-based security and automation tooling. Own problems end-to-end, from customer interaction to production delivery, with significant autonomy and front-line customer engagement.
Responsibilities
- Browser automation engine: build and improve the core automation engine to handle complex sites.
- On-device browser environment: develop the local environment the agent runs in on user laptops.
- Workflow builder: create tooling to let non-developers build automations quickly.
- Distributed tasks system: ensure tasks run asynchronously across end-user devices.
- Platform controls and analytics: provide customers visibility and governance over automations.
- End-to-end encrypted infrastructure: design and scale secure data handling.
Qualifications
- 1+ years shipping production software
- Debugging and systems thinking for browser automation on end-user devices
- Willingness to engage with customers and understand their problems
- Ownership mindset: comfortable being the sole owner from first call to production
