About the role
Founding Engineer at Aglide, a YC-backed startup building a browser-automation platform to securely connect and automate work applications. Role involves end-to-end ownership of problems, customer interaction, and shipping production fixes quickly.
Responsibilities
- Own problems end to end—from meeting the customer to diagnosing the issue, designing the fix and shipping it to production, sometimes inside a week.
- Build core components: browser automation engine, on-device browser environment, workflow builder, distributed tasks system, platform controls and analytics, and end-to-end encrypted infrastructure.
- Meet customers regularly to understand their needs, validate fixes, and demonstrate what was shipped.
- Work across the stack (dashboard, desktop app, backend services, IaC config) as needed.
- Possibly long hours during high-intensity periods to move features to production.
Qualifications
- 1+ years shipping production software
- Debugging and systems thinking in browser automation and end-to-end encrypted data environments
- Willingness to have customer contact and understand problems directly from users
- Ownership mindset with ability to be the single point of responsibility from first call to production
