About the role

Audit Associate to join Aprio, focusing on real estate and affordable housing. Perform audits, support financial reporting, and contribute to client decision-making across diverse industries with opportunities for professional development and CPA support.

Responsibilities

  • Perform audits skillfully and accurately in accordance with applicable professional standards.
  • Prepare audit work papers and adjusting trial balances.
  • Compile financial statements into written reports for client presentation.
  • Evaluate accounting issues and apply relevant regulations to client engagements.
  • Build and maintain productive working relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Travel to support client engagements approximately 15–20% of the time.

Qualifications

  • Developed specialties in Real Estate and Affordable Housing.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • Licensed CPA or 150 credit hours required to sit for the CPA exam.
  • 0–1 year of experience at a public accounting firm.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with clients and internal team members.
