About the role

Internship in Research, Advisory and Practice division supporting capacity strengthening projects, data analysis, knowledge management, and dissemination in Nairobi.

Responsibilities

  • Support the design, implementation and evaluation of capacity strengthening projects in applied research and behavioral science with government and civil society practitioners
  • Organize, clean, and analyze data (mostly qualitative)
  • Knowledge management
  • Participate in external events (workshops, conferences, Communities of Practice meetings etc)
  • Support in dissemination of results, prepare project reports, and present results
  • Support in design and development of Research, Advisory and Practice projects focused on using behavioral science to alleviate global poverty
  • Perform any other duty as may be assigned by the project supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Students in their final semester in masters/undergraduate programs
  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Social Sciences, Public Policy, or related fields
  • Discipline diversity welcomed: Psychology, Sociology, Economics, Public Policy, Political Science, Statistics, Marketing and so on
  • High level of self-motivation and energy with a can-do attitude
  • Interest in capacity strengthening including learning agenda development, stakeholder engagements, coaching, mentorship, knowledge management and project implementation support
  • Knowledge of project management tools/softwares
  • Interest in qualitative and quantitative research or data analytics
  • Flexible, self-motivated, able to manage multiple tasks, teamwork
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Interest in behavioral science, research, governance and civic engagement
