About the role

Part Time - Hourly sanitation role in a food processing facility, focusing on cleaning and sanitizing in compliance with HACCP & CFIA regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring the production facility is cleaned and sanitized in a timely fashion in accordance with HACCP & CFIA regulations.
  • Lifting and moving products between areas; using high pressure hot water hoses to wash machines.
  • Performing clean-up tasks such as garbage removal and other activities related to food processing.

Qualifications

  • Be able to work with minimal supervision and in a team environment
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada and minimum 18 years of age
  • Comfortable working around raw meat products
  • Comfortable working in a wet environment with warm/cool temperatures
  • Able to speak, read, write, and understand English
  • Able to handle extended periods of static tasks with alertness
  • Positive attitude and safety focused
  • Willingness to develop new skills
  • Previous cleaning experience including GMPs and WHIMs is an asset
  • Attention to detail and ability to find defects in product streams
  • Ability to operate mobile equipment such as power jack, forklift, scissor lift (asset)
