About the role

PhD student internship in robotics research at Ai2 (Allen Institute for AI) focused on foundation models, skills for robotics, and real-world robot experimentation. On-site in Seattle, with visa sponsorship available. 12-week internship with flexible start date.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct AI research under the guidance of a mentor, which may include building AI systems or system components, developing datasets, and/or conducting experiments.
  • Reading the scientific literature to investigate and understand AI research.
  • Meeting with the mentor to discuss research progress and ideas.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a PhD in robotics, machine learning, or related fields.
  • Have an interest and experience in cutting-edge artificial intelligence and robotics research.

Skills

Required:PhD-focused research experience in robotics or MLCutting-edge AI and robotics research
Nice to have:Publication track recordSoftware engineering for physics simulation, ML, and robot control
