About the role

Legal counsel focused on labor and employment litigation for SpaceX, based in Bastrop, TX, with responsibility for managing litigation, internal investigations, discovery, and risk mitigation across US and international matters.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all facets of litigation, with a focus on labor and employment disputes but with opportunities to expand portfolio to consumer, contractual, commercial, or other kinds of legal disputes
  • Conduct internal investigations; support discovery efforts; draft and review discovery requests/responses, pleadings, and briefs; direct litigation strategy; and negotiate settlements
  • Identify legal risks and mitigate them by designing and implementing controls

Qualifications

  • JD from an ABA accredited law school
  • 5+ years of experience as a practicing attorney
  • Experience litigating labor and employment disputes in California
