About the role

Senior technical role focused on developing containerized microservices for a distributed multi-tenant cloud security platform, with emphasis on real-time data processing from multi-cloud environments, Go development, Kubernetes, and mentoring junior engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop containerized (micro) services for a distributed multi-tenant system that process data and real time events and network telemetry from multiple public clouds to provide real time insights, visibility, and security recommendations to customers so they can identify and minimize risk in the cloud.
  • Design service architecture, defend designs, and deliver robust implementations.
  • Mentor junior engineers, new grads, and interns.
  • Write code primarily in Go and work with data pipelines using SQL or other interfaces; operate with Kubernetes for service infrastructure.
  • Own critical features and subsystems across the software development lifecycle from requirements to deployment.
  • Own operational aspects of the system to improve reliability and supportability.
  • Own code quality through early testing and integration testing to ensure robust products.
  • Partner with Product Management to refine requirements and exceed customer expectations.
  • Develop a deep understanding of customer problems through stakeholder interactions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in computer science or equivalent; Master’s a plus
  • 4+ years building distributed & scalable software and systems
  • Willingness to learn and work well in a team
  • Cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP at API/programming level; networking and security controls a plus
  • Experience delivering containerized services on Kubernetes
  • Go and SQL proficiency; REST API client experience
  • CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible are nice to have
  • General TCP/IP networking knowledge
  • Unix/Linux programming environment experience
  • This position requires compliance with U.S. export controls.
