About the role

Independent contributor product leader responsible for Atlas Infinite—the broad platform surface within MongoDB Atlas—with end-to-end ownership of user experience, database experience, and multi-year platform bets across disaggregated compute and storage architecture; focuses on discovery, activation, monetization, retention, and cross-team collaboration to drive GA and future releases.

Responsibilities

  • Interlinked Vision & Multi-Year Bets: Set and champion a product vision across Atlas Infinite's capabilities, exploring opportunities not on today's roadmap; evaluate decoupled compute/storage possibilities, develop hypotheses, use customer evidence and market signals to identify needs; make cases for investment and prioritization, including build-vs-buy considerations.
  • Cross-Team Execution: Manage execution health across workstreams, negotiate sequencing/scope/resource trade-offs with engineering leaders and peer PMs; ensure preview-to-GA readiness and aligned roadmaps across database, storage, Atlas platform, migration, backup, security, and cloud infra teams.
  • Execution & Research Standards: Establish operating practices and research frameworks for workload qualification, testing, launch readiness, and post-launch learning; leverage data to inform decisions without overburdening teams.
  • Product Health: Resolve complex post-launch escalations spanning architecture, performance, migration, observability, supportability, or ownership clarity; drive systemic fixes based on signals.
  • Customer Discovery: Identify cross-area needs and emerging jobs-to-be-done; use interviews, workload/pricing evidence, analytics, field feedback, and experiments to test hypotheses and steer roadmap.
  • Outbound & GTM: Collaborate with product marketing, pricing, sales, solutions architecture, customer success, documentation, and support on engagements, positioning, and migration guidance; build shared playbooks.
  • Executive Alignment: Synthesize customer experience, technical readiness, adoption, and commercial impact into compelling narratives for senior leadership; surface cross-area risks and trade-offs.
  • Mentorship: Mentor PMs, sharing frameworks for cross-team alignment, customer evidence, technical trade-offs, multi-year bets, and leadership communication.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of product management or equivalent leadership experience shaping strategy for complex technical platforms across multiple teams
  • Strong technical fluency in cloud databases, distributed data systems, storage infrastructure, developer experiences, or related platform domains
  • Proven ability to discover opportunities beyond current roadmap and test hypotheses with evidence
  • Experience taking complex products from early adoption to broader, sustainable use while balancing trust, readiness, speed, and investment
  • Proven ability to influence without authority across partner teams
  • Commercial/analytical judgment on workload value, adoption, pricing, unit economics, and portfolio impact; comfort with build-vs-buy questions
  • Ability to elevate customer discovery and decision-making with shared methods and mentorship
  • Exceptional communication skills to articulate technical/commercial theses to engineers, executives, and GTM partners
