About the role

Shopify seeks recruiters with engineering recruiting experience to own full-cycle recruitment for engineering roles, partnering with hiring leaders, employing creative sourcing, conducting Life Story interviews, and driving exceptional candidate experiences in a fast-paced, data-informed environment.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with hiring leaders. You’ll influence role requirements and develop recruiting plans aligned with Shopify’s goals.
  • Manage the complete recruitment lifecycle. This includes intake, sourcing, screening, interviewing, determining hiring criteria, coordination, recaps, offers, and closing for both pipeline and specialized hiring.
  • Implement effective sourcing strategies to attract top Engineers.
  • Conduct thoughtful interviews, owning the Life Story interview to assess fit for Shopify.
  • Represent Shopify and deliver exceptional candidate experiences.
  • Be data informed, leveraging historical data and research while thinking unconventionally.
  • Always be innovating by experimenting with sourcing strategies, refining interview techniques, and improving workflows.

Qualifications

  • Experience recruiting Engineers.
  • Experience owning the full recruitment cycle.
  • Genuine curiosity and ability to ask thoughtful questions.
  • Autonomous self-starter with minimal supervision.
  • Deep involvement with AI and ability to build/share AI-enabled tooling to improve recruiting craft.
