About the role

Senior Software Engineer role within Airbnb's Client and Identity Engineering team, focusing on zero-trust infrastructure, secure endpoints, and identity services for corporate environments.

Responsibilities

  • Work with open source products to build the next generation client platform for all Airbnb corporate endpoints.
  • Build on the zero trust back end suite, supporting security services, network paths, and user and device signaling, with business value in mind.
  • Support executive level Airbnb staff with endpoint and identity solutions.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to optimize endpoints and identity flows for Airbnb employees and partners.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's and/or Master/PhD in CS or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in test driven software development
  • Extensive experience with Go, Python, or Java (Go strongly preferred)
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and infrastructure as code deployments
  • Experience developing and deploying services in a Kubernetes environment
  • Solid understanding of software architecture and design patterns
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
  • Experience leading technical projects and mentoring junior engineers
  • Motivation for personal growth and learning new technologies to support the team's needs

  • Base pay range: $196,000—$227,000 USD per year
