About the role

Metas Public Policy Manager role in the Philippines to drive policy strategy on infrastructure, AI, safety and content moderation. Works with APAC policy team to shape discourse with government stakeholders, advise internal teams, and ensure regional initiatives align with global strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Policy Development and Advocacy: Shape discussions on legislative and regulatory issues relevant to the company, ensuring alignment with Meta’s objectives
  • Build narratives and third party mobilisation strategies with cross-functional teams
  • Monitor regulatory trends and emerging issues across the digital space in the Philippines and develop proactive solutions with global teams
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Represent Meta to external policy stakeholders at events, conferences, regulatory meetings, and other public fora
  • Develop and maintain relationships with government, policymakers, regulators, civil society, businesses, and industry associations, especially those engaged with AI and digital policy
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Advise internal teams on technological issues including safety and content moderation to guide product and policy development
  • Coordinate with Meta’s global policy teams to maintain consistency with global strategy
  • Brief executives on policy risks and opportunities in the Philippines

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of legal and/or public policy experience
  • Significant experience with government, politics, regulatory agencies, or think tanks
  • Experience on connectivity, digital infrastructure, content moderation, AI, and safety
  • Ability to translate technical issues into persuasive public policy advocacy
  • Excellent command of English for global cross-functional and international stakeholder engagement
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams to devise and execute public policy work
