About the role

Meta is seeking an experienced Business Support Engineer to shape the technical support experience for Meta's advertising partners and customers. The role leads engineering strategy for partner integrations across Ads products, collaborates with Platform and Infrastructure teams, drives AI-native tooling and scalable support infrastructure, and influences product roadmaps through data-driven insights.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and own global troubleshooting methodologies, escalation frameworks, and engineering standards for the Business Support Engineering organization
  • Lead the team's AI-native technical strategy, driving large-scale adoption of AI and LLM-based tools to transform partner support workflows
  • Design, build, and optimize complex AI architectures using large language models, owning full lifecycle from prototype to production deployment for support automation use cases
  • Define and implement performance monitoring systems for partner integrations across Ads and Business Messaging platforms
  • Partner with cross-functional leadership to identify root causes of recurring partner issues and influence product roadmaps
  • Establish technical communication standards, author reference architectures and integration guides, and represent engineering in partner-facing and executive forums
  • Lead zero-to-one initiatives for scalable support infrastructure for new Meta business product launches
  • Provide oncall support coverage to ensure high availability across global time zones
  • Mentor and develop other engineers, fostering continuous learning in AI, ML, and AdTech domains
  • Manage complex, cross-functional programs spanning multiple business areas to deliver consistent partner experiences globally

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 8+ years of experience as a software engineer or site reliability engineer
  • Proven experience in API development on cloud-based infrastructures and debugging outages impacting partners
  • Experience with full web stack, REST APIs, Python, PHP, and JavaScript/React; debugging and bug management
  • Experience with large language models or AI-based tooling in production or applied context
  • Experience communicating with technical and business audiences and writing technical documentation
  • Experience in data analysis (SQL) for assessing and resolving operational issues
