About the role

Senior Backend-focused role in the Audience team at Omnisend, responsible for contact profiles, segmentation engine, and AI/pre-built segments to help ecommerce brands; emphasizes scalable, high-load systems and data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute significantly to product development decisions.
  • Design, develop, and test features.
  • Resolve technical challenges for seamless system functionality and optimal performance.
  • Maintain features with effective monitoring, logging, and alerting.
  • Share best practices with team members.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience (5+ years) implementing and maintaining scalable, highly available, high-load systems.
  • Customer centricity - putting the customer at the core of all business decisions and actions.
  • Ideally experience with Golang or willingness to learn Golang.
  • Experience with React or willingness to learn React.
  • Familiarity with modern software build pipelines and tools.
  • Proficiency in NoSQL and SQL databases, with willingness to learn MongoDB, Bigtable, PostgreSQL.
  • Experience with real-time distributed messaging tools (e.g., NSQ, Pub/Sub).
  • Working experience with any cloud provider (Google Cloud Services).
  • Experience with event-based architecture.
  • AI-first engineering mindset and willingness to grow in coding agents.
