About the role

Founding full stack engineer role at Pilot AI (Paragon AI) building AI-powered sales technology; early-stage opportunity with broad ownership across frontend, backend, and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • As a founding engineer you will be a customer-obsessed, product-focused and adaptable full stack Software Engineer. Lead design, development, and operations of our products.
  • Write backend and frontend code, run infrastructure, and implement necessary tools/processes to support the product.
  • Understand user needs and translate them into product requirements and features; shape UX and functionality.
  • Own projects from start to finish and architect solutions for complex projects.
  • Set technical standards, conduct code reviews, and provide constructive feedback as a team member.
  • Ship high-quality solutions with urgency and pragmatism; freedom to drive new initiatives.
  • Help assess and recruit future engineers.
  • Collaborate with customers, designers, and product managers to ensure solutions meet customer needs.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience in professional software development
  • Experience across the full stack (backend to frontend) and willingness to tackle new technologies
  • Exceptional JavaScript, Python, MongoDB, and Cloud infrastructure skills
  • Ability to write clean, scalable, maintainable code and understand design patterns
  • Customer-first mindset and ability to engage with customers to shape product
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Interest in career growth and building a great team
  • Able to adapt quickly in a fast-paced early-stage environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent (Nice to have)
