About the role

Software engineer focusing on core infrastructure to scale Modern Treasury's payments platform and related products, with emphasis on reliability, scalability, and internal tooling. Role can be based in SF Bay Area or NYC, remote options available.

Responsibilities

  • Build infrastructure to scale Modern Treasury's products and platform (payments, ledgers).
  • Inform key architectural decisions for high-reliability systems.
  • Own production and developer operations, improving tools and workflows.
  • Work with product team to build features for engineers and finance users.
  • Ship major projects and contribute to internal tooling and documentation.
  • Mentor new engineers and participate in hiring.

Qualifications

  • Experience building web applications professionally (2+ years).
  • Experience with SQL/Relational databases and other data storage systems.
  • Experience with containerization and cloud-native deployments.
