About the role

Lead design role reporting to the CEO, responsible for guiding design across the company and protecting the product's soul with a focus on pixel-perfect, on-brand outcomes. Requires a hands-on designer who can prototype with AI, collaborate with both founders and investors, and contribute to design systems while shipping in a fast-paced startup environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead design across the entire company, reporting directly to the CEO
  • Guard the soul of the product and ensure high-quality, on-brand UI/UX
  • Prototype with AI tools and train AI models to implement the design system
  • Collaborate with engineers and product teams; raise the design bar across projects
  • Design system modernization and integration across multiple product areas
  • Provide design resources and guidance for engineers; contribute to product decisions
  • Develop and iterate on design concepts, including micro-animations and pixel-perfect details
  • Contribute to AI-assisted design ops and establish workflows for scale

Qualifications

  • Experience: Any (new grads ok)
  • Strong portfolio showing pixel-perfect UI/UX with minimalist design
  • Ability to prototype with AI tools (Cursor, Claude, Codex, Replit) and train models for design system execution
  • CSS/HTML knowledge; ability to submit code to Git repositories
  • Excellent user-obsessed, analytical, and judgment skills for data-informed decisions
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills; comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment
