About the role

Platform Engineer responsible for owning and scaling Partiful’s core infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, observability, and cloud services to support React/React Native frontend, Node.js backend, and TypeScript stack on GCP.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure infrastructure across GCP’s ecosystem (Cloud Functions, Firestore, Cloud Tasks, Redis, Pub/Sub, etc.)
  • Collaborate with other engineers to design performant APIs, databases, and backend systems
  • Improve reliability and observability across our stack (monitoring, alerting, logging, tracing)
  • Evolve our CI/CD pipelines and developer environments to maximize speed and confidence in shipping
  • Empower others (and yourself) to use AI tools effectively and safely across the development process
  • Own system performance, uptime, and scalability as usage grows
  • Implement security best practices, from secrets management to access control
  • Respond to and help prevent production incidents

Qualifications

  • 3–11 years of infrastructure or backend engineering experience in a fast-paced or high-growth environment
  • Experience designing and managing serverless or event-driven systems at scale
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD workflows and best practices
  • Experience with observability systems (such as Sentry, GCP Cloud Logging & Metrics Explorer)
  • Solid grasp of networking, security, and performance tuning fundamentals
  • Comfort working in Typescript/Node.js environments
  • A builder’s mindset — you enjoy automating, optimizing, and empowering teams through great tooling
  • A habit of leveraging AI tools to move faster, debug smarter, and prototype more effectively
  • Deep sense of ownership and dedication to delivering ambitious outcomes on fast timelines
  • A love of tackling complex, demanding challenges head-on
  • A collaborative, pragmatic approach — you care about outcomes more than ego
