About the role

Strong engineers to build software that developers love to work with, focusing on developer ergonomics, abstractions, and productivity for Modal’s SDK/CLI and related developer tools.

Responsibilities

  • Improve developer and agent experience of our SDK and CLI
  • Develop new primitives to meet demand for new areas arising from ongoing industry transformation

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience developing high-quality Python, JS or Go applications or libraries used by other developers
  • Strong code-as-product sense focused on developer ergonomics and productivity
  • Knowledge of async programming and concurrency management/pitfalls
  • High level of customer empathy, good communication skills, and willingness to work directly with users to solve problems
  • Ability to participate in on-call rotation and respond to production incidents
  • Ability to work in-person in New York or Stockholm office
