About the role

Define and build the workspace that scientists use to develop new medicines. Create software interfaces and tools for molecular design, prototyping from early design through production code, and ship these solutions to enable computational molecular engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with scientists and model researchers to understand how they experiment and make decisions, then turn that understanding into software for working with models and agents.
  • Invent the core concepts and interactions for molecular design on a computer.
  • Prototype and ship these interfaces and tools, owning the work from early design through production code.

Qualifications

  • Exceptional design taste
  • Engineering ability to prototype and ship
  • Track record of distilling complex domains into simple products
  • Ability to get to the heart of a difficult problem without losing important details
  • Familiarity with the scientific domain is a bonus but not required
