About the role

Tempo is a layer-1 blockchain for stablecoins and real-world payments. This role combines building first-party products (e.g., Tempo Wallet) and integrating Tempo into customer payment systems, enabling real users and partner integrations while gaining exposure to payments and crypto problems across startups to enterprises.

Responsibilities

  • Build internal and first-party applications on top of Tempo for both agents and humans
  • Partner with startups and enterprises to integrate Tempo into their payment systems
  • Develop a deep understanding of the Tempo blockchain and its product surface area
  • Navigate unfamiliar codebases and organizations quickly to get products shipped
  • Bring field learnings back to Tempo to improve the product, developer experience, and blockchain itself

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of full-stack engineering experience, including 1+ year(s) in crypto
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work across technical and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Ability to travel within the US to work with partners when needed
  • Track record of shipping mission-critical systems where safety and reliability matter
  • Ability to balance speed, pragmatism, and technical quality
